Flightway Drive will be closed to through-traffic from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 28 from Corsair Drive to Hardee Avenue for filming at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. Chamblee Police Officers will be on location for security and intermittent traffic control. The film shoot will include special effects and pyrotechnic activities under the direction of licensed professionals and the supervision of the DeKalb Fire Department.
The state considers itself a “camera ready” destination for film and television production. According to data provided by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Georgia-lensed feature films and television productions generated an economic impact of $6 billion.
Road closure signs will be in the area alerting motorists to local traffic restrictions.
