LifeLine Animal Project is holding a “Pick Your Price” adoption promotion  at metro Atlanta shelters throughout the whole month of June.

Summer weather brings about a high intake of cats and dogs at shelter locations. LifeLine Animal Project’s Dekalb County and Fulton shelters are currently taking in between 60 and 80 animals a day. Their normal intake is about 40 animals per day.

Shelter officials say they are trying to get these animals adopted and make room for others that may come in.

Pet adoptions include the animal’s spay or neuter, vaccines and a microchip. Although the usual adoption rate is $85, there is no minimum rate that adopters are expected to give throughout this promotion.

LifeLine offers a matchmaker to help make the adoption process easier for those who come in to their shelters. Animals are matched with adopters based on the lifestyle they lead, personality and other preferences.

Shelters are located in Chamblee, Atlanta, Avondale and Scottdale.
