The DeKalb County Commission recently ratified emergency spending of nearly $2.3 million to ensure it didn't go without insurance coverage for workers.

The board authorized the county finance department to pay Resurgens Risk Management of Atlanta the money, which pays premiums for the liability insurance on county vehicles and workers' compensation.
