Oh Dear!

Kids can get themselves stuck in the darndest places.

In this case, the kid is a fawn who got stuck in a metal gate at a home on King Road in Roswell.

The deer made it halfway through the gate when its back half got stuck, according to a Roswell police Facebook post.

Officers John Lathem, Chris Smith and Justin Snyder were able to free the fawn ''after an intense and tedious rescue,'' said Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland. She said the offficers used a full bottle of canola oil to free the fawn.

As the deer happily ran off, she did not appear to be injured, according to the Facebook post.
