The identity of a woman remains unknown four days after her body was found in a trash bag in a wooded area near Bagwell Drive and Park Avenue.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has released a description of the woman in hopes that someone will recognize her.

Atlanta homicide detectives and an investigator with the medical examiner's office went to the wooded area Wednesday afternoon after a post office worker saw the trash bag, police said.

The bag was bound with duct tape, Major Keith Meadows said that day.

The woman's physical description does not match that of recent missing person's reports, Meadows said.

The medical examiner’s office released a description of the woman Saturday.

She is black, about 5′8″ tall, and weighs about 212 pounds. She is believed to be between 20 and 40 years old, the medical examiner’s office said.

Her hair is brown with black roots. Her right nostril is pierced with a white metal stud that has a clear stone.

A yellow metal ring with small, clear stones is on her left ring finger.

Anyone with information that could help identify the woman is asked to call the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Center at 404-613-4400, ask for the Investigations Section, and refer to case 11-0242.
