City Schools Decatur will add roughly 30 trailers next year, including 10 to 13 at Renfroe Middle and five or six at Decatur High, with the remaining going to Winnona Park and Glennwood Elementary schools and possibly Westchester Elementary. The costs for this year remain uncertain although the system’s projecting it will spend $9.7 million on approximately 122 trailers over the next five years. That number could increase significantly without passing a General Obligation Bond in November. Each trailer is 750 square feet, holds up to 25 students and is equipped with smart boards and furniture. All trailers will be installed by late July.
