Decatur Mayor Bill Floyd will give his annual State of the City address to the city Tuesday evening.

Valarie Wilson, the chair of the Decatur Board of Education, also will deliver a State of the Schools address for the city at the event, held during the monthly meeting of the Decatur Business Association.

The event begins at 5:15 p.m. with a reception, with speeches to begin at 6 p.m. at Decatur High School’s new auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
