Decatur City Schools earns praise from SACS

The City Schools of Decatur earned high marks from the Southern Association on Colleges and Schools, or SACS, during its accreditation review. The agency renewed the district’s accreditation with a “highly functional” rating and praised the governance and leadership. Decatur should continue its focus on teacher training and interventions to support student success, according to the agency.
