Northside drivers headed to the mountains could face traffic issues along Ga. 400 in Dawsonville Saturday.

Surveyors will stop traffic at Ga. 400 and Ga. 53 several times between 7 a.m. and noon to take shots related to a planned improvement project at the intersection.

The $8. 9 million work awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Inc. of Marietta will build Georgia’s first continuous flow intersection allowing Ga. 400 traffic to turn left on Ga. 53 while 400 through traffic is moving, according to Georgia DOT officials.

Completion is set for April 30, 2017.
