Atlanta school board members Thursday officially voted to extend Superintendent Erroll Davis's contract until June 30 2013. Davis, the former chancellor of the University System of Georgia, was tapped in July as interim superintendent and quickly appointed for a year term. Both Davis and the school board wanted an extension to allow time for the superintendent to carry out changes. Davis receives $240,000 per year, an additional $10,000 annually for travel and $10,000 for expenses. He will not receive an increase, according to school officials.
