Soon folks in Alpharetta won’t have to drive to Marietta, Lawrenceville or Duluth when they want to eat, drink, play and watch sports in the same building.

Dave & Buster’s is on the way.

The venue combining tasty food with arcade games is hiring now for its Alpharetta location, which is set to open on May 22. The company, founded in Dallas, Texas, plans to hire more than 250 employees for the new restaurant.

It will be located at 6500 North Point Parkway, the former home of a movie theater.

“We are thrilled to announce our new location in Alpharetta and look forward to making a lasting impact on the community with this one-of-a-kind venue,” said Rob Peterson, general manager of the Alpharetta Dave & Buster’s.

The Alpharetta location will be the fourth Dave & Buster’s in Georgia and the 98th overall. The building housing Dave & Buster’s is more than 34,000 square feet and will hold more than 150 games inside, but it is the smallest of the four Georgia locations.
