Darnell hosts town hall meeting Aug. 11

Fulton County Commissioner Emma Darnell will host a town hall meeting on county taxes at 4 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Harriett G. Darnell Senior Multipurpose Facility, 677 Fairburn Road NW, Atlanta.

The meeting will cover topics like taxpayer funding for MARTA, Grady Hospital, libraries and other services. For more information call 404-612-8222 or e-mail emma.darnell@fultoncountyga.gov.

Atlanta among airports where FAA will cut flights due to shutdown

The U.S. Department of Transportation will cut flights by 10% across 40 of the nation’s busiest airports on Friday to alleviate pressure on air traffic controllers.
