Daily lane closures continue along State Route 316 near Bethlehem

Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners continue implementing single lane closures in preparation for an upcoming traffic shift on the State Route 316 and State Route 81 interchange project. Closures will occur from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.

The temporary traffic shift will allow crews to work on the new interchange ramps. Crews are removing the existing highway shoulders and will be paving along S.R. 316 from Carl Bethlehem Road to Harry McCarty Road. Lane closures will continue over the next several weeks, depending on weather conditions.

Drivers are reminded to travel safely through the work zone.
