Dacula plans to adopt a lower property tax rate of 4.808 mills for 2017 at a special called council meeting at 6 p.m. July 10, at City Hall Council Chambers, 442 Harbins Road. The 2016 millage rate was 4.957. The public is invited to provide input before the adoption of the new rate.

Despite the lower tax rate, Dacula estimates a 6 percent increase in net taxes totaling $848,896 thanks to increased property values and growth within the city.
