Dacula officials, staff and the public along with facilitators Robert & Company’s John Ford and Ann Coppage have begun the process to update the city’s Comprehensive Plan as required by Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs.

The first meetings were held June 19 and July 17 at City Hall. The major planning tasks and planning activities were presented and a list developed of Dacula’s strengths, weaknessess, opportunitiess, and threats defined along with an assessment of existing conditions.

The public is invited to attend any of the future steering committee meetings to be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21, Sept. 18, Oct. 16, and Nov. 20 at City Hall, 442 Harbins Road.
