The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a weekend crash that left three cyclists from metro Atlanta injured.
Robert Edward Ferguson, Joseph Wade McLeod and George Darden were riding northbound on Cash Road near Covington Bridge Road about 8 a.m. Saturday, GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Pickup truck driver Bennie Blackstock of Gordon County was traveling southbound on Cash Road and turning into a convenience store on the east side of the roadway at the same time.
Blackstock, Watson said, failed to yield to the cyclists and turned left in front of them. Ferguson, McLeod and Darden struck the right side of the pickup truck.
While Blackstock was not injured, the cyclists were taken to Floyd Medical Center with injuries, Watson said. Their conditions were not immediately available.
