Cumming is restricting public access to city offices and postponing municipal court cases in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Cumming said visits to city buildings and facilities are restricted to appointments and "absolutely necessary" in-person meetings through Tuesday, March 31. Staff will still report to work and will handle city business by telephone and electronic methods. Information: https://bit.ly/2QsBgS7

“Hopefully these will be short-term changes,” said Mayor Troy Brumbalow. “We will be reassessing every day and keeping in touch with our employees and the public as we try to do the right thing for all concerned.”

Also, Cumming Municipal Court cases have been postponed through at least April 15. Those with affected cases should contact the court between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 770-781-2002, or email cpruitt@cummingmunicipalcourt.com or nmoore@cummingmunicipalcourt.com

The city also said the Sawnee Association of the Arts has closed indefinitely its downtown Arts Center. Information: https://bit.ly/2Upv7rd
