Gwinnett commissioners agreed to accept a Veteran Treatment Court Implementation grant from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council in the amount of $59,706 with a 10 percent county match of $6,634.

This funding will be used in the implementation of the Gwinnett County Veteran’s Treatment Court, to include a contracted case manager, treatment services, drug testing supplies, participant handbooks and computer equipment.

The Veteran’s Treatment Court is one of five accountability courts providing judicially monitored treatment programs for defendants who have committed crimes due to their drug/alcohol addiction or mental illness.
