The Lilburn City Council voted unanimously Monday to add another court date each month to the city’s growing caseload.

In 2014, court personnel processed 6,936 citations, as compared to 6,138 in 2013 and 4,324 in 2013. The addition of one more day of court each month is expected to relieve the overloaded court docket. The cost associated with adding one day per month for the remaining 2014-2015 fiscal year is approximately $7,850.
