Henry County officials said last week that the ongoing search for a permanent county manager would be slowed down for a time, a decision that led to one of the two finalists for the job dropping out. Lyndon Bonner notified the Board of Commissioners that he was withdrawing his name from consideration, leaving current interim county manager Cheri Matthews as the only one remaining of the finalists announced by the board a few weeks ago.
