The United Way of Forsyth County is gearing up for its 12th annual Day of Caring and Campaign Kickoff at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Forsyth Conference Center, 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Cumming.

Town hall meeting will be Sept. 14
Henry County Commissioner Bo Moss will host a town hall meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Locust Grove Recreation Center, 10 Cleveland St. in Locust Grove. Scheduled guest speakers are county Solicitor General Trea Pipkin and GRTA executive director Bert Brantley.

National Night Out set for today
Henry County’s law enforcement and emergency service agencies are hosting the annual National Night Out from 5:30-8:30 p.m. today in front of the Target at Henry Town Center in McDonough. It is a free event for the whole family to meet various law enforcement officers and see their equipment and vehicles. There will also be free food and giveaways from area merchants.
