Kennesaw’s City Council has rescinded a Nov. 4 decision that a property owner should demolish a 100-year-old house on Moon Station Road and pay a $213,000 fine.

Kennesaw’s building department had deemed the house to be uninhabitable. The city has decided to look at nuisance abatement and other remedies to solve a long dispute with Robert Pritchard to either demolish the vacant house or bring it up to code.

Pritchard has said he does not have money to repair the house.
