Contractor International System Strategies Inc. did not charge Fulton County for moving commissioners' microphone mute button a second time, so the tug of war over it has only cost taxpayers $714. Chairman John Eaves ordered the button moved from the clerk's desk to his desk following a spat between him and Vice Chair Emma Darnell, but Commissioner Bill Edwards told the county manager to have it put back where it was.

The second re-wiring took a little more than an hour, and was done "as a matter of goodwill," a county spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
