Lilburn police are looking for three men who tried to rob a convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Three men walked towards the Neighborhood Market on Hillcrest Road shortly before 1 a.m. on Sept. 26. They first robbed a man who was sitting in his car in the store’s parking lot, police said.

Next, they entered the store and tried to rob the cashier, who was sitting behind security glass. One of the men shot his gun while trying to rob the cashier, but the bullet hit the store’s front window and did not harm anyone, police said.

The suspect who fired the gun is described as a tall, thin man wearing a dark blue long-sleeved T-shirt and carrying a .40 caliber pistol. The second suspect was described as a heavyset man with large tattoos, a shaved head and wearing all black. The third suspect, who the police believe was a look-out, was described as a man in his 20s with a small afro.

Anyone with information about the suspects should contact Lt. Chris Dusik at 770-638-2185 or cdusik@cityoflilburn.com.
