A woman who Milton police identified as a burglary suspect in August was arrested in Spalding County on Sunday.

Omisha M. Sands, 19, of Austell, had a warrant out for her arrest for felony burglary charges.

A release from the City of Milton said Sands had “been on the run from police” since being identified as a suspect and was staying with one of her relatives in Spalding County.

Online court records show she is charged in Fulton County with two felony counts of burglary in the first degree and one count of theft by deception, a misdemeanor.

Sands also faces charges in Cobb and Spalding counties, police said.

In August, police said Sands was a suspect in the crimes of four home burglaries that occurred in Milton over a 10-day stretch in July. Police said that in all four cases these homes were not wired for alarms or under surveillance, and that the suspects entered the homes through a basement window or door.
