A teen is accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl at South Cobb High School.

Curtis Patrick Bell, 17, faces a felony charge of aggravated sexual battery and misdemeanor counts of molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

The Marietta teen was booked into Cobb County jail late Thursday, the same day as the alleged crime, and posted his $25,000 bond eight hours later, according to jail records.

A Cobb schools police officer wrote in a warrant that the attack happened about 9:30 a.m. Thursday on the Austell school’s campus.

Bell allegedly grabbed the girl’s arm in a hallway and pulled her into a copier room where he pushed her against a wall and violated her, according to the warrant.

The Cobb County School District sent the following statement to Channel 2 Action News:

“The Cobb County School District holds the safety and well-being of our students and staff as our top priority. This incident has been thoroughly investigated by school administrators and school district police. In addition to criminal charges, appropriate action has been taken in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.”

Bell’s online magistrate court filing did not list his next schedule court appearance.
