After 12 minutes on the run Wednesday, two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a Woodstock bank at gunpoint.

Rene Medina Rivera and Jose Luis Sandoval were charged with armed robbery and possessing firearms during a crime, according to a news release from Woodstock police.

The men are accused of robbing the BB&T Bank at 936 Towne Lake Parkway, about a mile from the Cherokee-Cobb county line. Cops quickly got a description.

The men sped off in a vehicle and were found on Bells Ferry Road. A deputy tried to pull them over, but the suspects kept driving. Police stopped the vehicle using a PIT, or “pursuit intervention technique,” in which an officer usually pushes their vehicle into another vehicle to make it lose control.

After a short foot chase, cops arrested both men about 1:30 p.m.

As of Wednesday night, they were in Cherokee County jail without bond.
