The roommate called police on April 13 to report Amaya had tried to sexually assault her and threatened her with a machete in their Norcross apartment. The other woman, who was dating Amaya at the time, told police that Amaya had sexually assaulted her the night before.

Amaya had entered the roommate’s bedroom while she was sleeping, woke her up and told her “You are going to be mine now, whether you like it or not,” referring to sex, according to a police report. Amaya threatened the roommate with a machete and told her to take her clothes off. The roommate said he would have to kill her and her baby before she would comply with his orders. Amaya “got frustrated” and left the room, the report says.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
