Dunwoody police are searching for a man accused of punching a girl in the face.

It happened on July 10 at about 11:40 p.m. when the girl, whose exact age wasn’t released, was taking out the trash at her apartment, police said. The complex is Bell Perimeter Apartments at 60 Perimeter Center East.

"After depositing household waste in a complex trash chute, the female was met by an unknown white male inside the trash disposal room," a statement from police said. "Without provocation, the male punched her in the side of the face and fled the scene on foot."
Anyone with information was asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS or www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.
