Alpharetta police need help identifying a suspect who robbed a McDonald’s and stole a car last week.

Surveillance video shows the suspect is a male with a slim build and short dreadlocks.

No one was hurt in the robbery, but police say the suspect — who was armed with a handgun — climbed through the drive-thru window of the McDonald’s on South Main Street on Tuesday, Aug. 8 and stole cash from the drawers. Police say the suspect escaped the scene by stealing an employee’s car.

Police found the car crashed. The cash drawers and money he took were found inside the vehicle.

Prior to the robbery, police say the suspect may have been with two other males in a silver or white Nissan Maxima.

The AJC has requested more information about this incident from the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

If anyone has any information of value, please contact the case detective at 678-297-6375 or you may leave an anonymous tip at 678-297-6307.
