Here's one way to discourage people from parking near your house, but it also could land you in jail.

A Woodstock man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly placing "‘Car Bomb"‘ and "50-Foot Clearance I.E.D." (improvised explosive device) signs on a woman's disabled car parked near his home in the Town Lake Hills subdivision.

Anthony Richard Couse III, 43, faces charges of false public alarm and terroristic threats after he placed the signs on the woman's car, because he didn't want the car parked there, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday afternoon, deputies were called about a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of Lexington Avenue that had the signs placed on the front windshield and rear window. Unsure if the signs were a hoax, deputies shut down Lexington Avenue and called in  K-9 and criminal investigations units.

When the owner was located, she explained that her car had a flat tire that morning and she intended to come back later to fix it. After speaking with residents in the area, investigators  spoke with Couse. Couse, who did not know the car owner, was not pleased with the car being parked on the street, police said. He placed the signs on the car and then apparently posted pictures on Facebook, police said.

He remains in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center with a $22,400 bond.
