Atlanta police are looking for the man who robbed a PNC Bank on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the bank in the 2400 block of Piedmont Road around 2:40 p.m. and gave the teller a note demanding $5,000 in cash, Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said in a news release. He fled on foot with the more than $3,000 he was given.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect. He is described as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s, 5-foot-7 to 5-8, and around 160 pounds.

The suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt, light blue jeans and a dark skull cap.

He was last seen heading north on Piedmont.
