A Roswell woman says that a man with a gun attacked her, robbed her and threatened to hurt her family if she called police.

The victim told Channel 2 Action News that she was walking towards her Roswell apartment in the complex near Holcomb Bridge Road around 2:30 p.m. on June 15 when the man "came out of nowhere" and attacked her.

“My reaction was to tell him I didn’t have any money,” she told Channel 2, which did not identify the woman by name. “… I was really scared. I told him to take whatever he wanted. I thought he was going to sexually abuse me or kill me because I was home alone.”

The woman said the man turned violent and pulled her hair. He took an undisclosed amount of money, a laptop and a tablet from the home, she said.

Before he ran away, the man threw her on the floor and told her, “Don’t call the police because I know you and I know your family.” The victim added that the man made multiple threats to shoot her.

Roswell police said they are still investigating what exactly happened and are tracking down leads. Police ask that anyone with information about this incident give them a call at 770-640-4100.
