Gwinnett County police are searching for a man and woman who allegedly worked together to shoplift $4,300 worth of tools from a Buford store.

The theft occurred April 29 at Northern Tool and Equipment on Buford Drive. The suspects walked into the store around 3:30 p.m., and the male suspect distracted an employee as the female suspect loaded a cart with tools. The woman pushed the cart full of unpurchased merchandise out of the store while the worker was still distracted.

The male suspect was described by  police as between 20 and 25 years old, and was wearing dark sweatpants, teal shoes and an orange fanny pack during the incident. The female suspect was described as between 30 and 40 years old with red hair, and she was wearing a black visor, black yoga pants, pink shoes and “a white hoodie with various portraits of women” at the time of the theft.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
