After a Papa John’s robbery, police chase and firing at an officer, a DeKalb County teen was arrested at a high school, the sheriff’s office announced.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit arrested Damian Lawson, 18, of Stone Mountain at Redan High on Thursday, according to authorities. He’s charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. A juvenile accused in the Dec. 29 armed robbery was also arrested Thursday, in Stone Mountain.

They are accused of holding up the pizza place on North Druid Hills Road.

“Mr. Lawson allegedly fired a semi-automatic pistol at an officer who pursued him after he and other accomplices attempted to rob the restaurant and three individuals of cash, an iPhone, car keys and a wallet,” the sheriff’s office statement said.

A third suspect, Nieem Paulino-Davis, 18, was arrested on the day of the incident after a police chase ended in the suspects crashing off Ross Road and U.S. 78 in Lilburn, police say.

DeKalb County police and the Georgia State Patrol assisted in Thursday’s arrests.
