Gwinnett County police are searching for two armed robbery suspects who took $3,000 from a victim as he arrived at his Lawrenceville home.

The victim pulled into the driveway of his house near a cul-de-sac around 11:30 p.m. Aug. 3. The suspects’ vehicle pulled just past the victim’s house, stopping under a tree that prevented a street light from showing them, according to police.

The suspects attacked the victim in the driveway, hitting him in the face with a handgun, police said. At some point, the suspects took $3,000 in cash from the victim. The victim fought back and chased the suspects when they tried to run away, but stopped when one of the suspects pointed a gun at him, police said.

The first suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and white basketball shoes, and the second suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and black shoes. They drove an “older” four-door dark color vehicle, which may have been a Buick, according to police. The car had silver or chrome rims.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
