Sugar Hill’s newest park, Gold Mine Park, will get under construction in 2019. Design for the park has been completed and will be timed to coordinate with the Sugar Hill Greenway construction.

Gold Mine Park will sit along Level Creek Road and will serve as a trail head to the greenway. Plans are currently in review prior to permitting and the bid phase for the project.

Many of Sugar Hill’s initial settlers were gold miners who mined from Sugar Hill all the way to the Chattahoochee River. The 9.2-acre Gold Mine Park will take hikers by one of the city’s old gold mines.
