Construction to affect I-75 in both directions this week

Planned construction work on I-75 will potentially impact Cobb traffic this week.

I-75 Southbound and I-75 Northbound will see overnight lane closures through Friday morning, according to a statement by the Georgia Department of Transportion.

Both I-75 North and South be highly affected between State Route 138/ Stockbridge Highway and State Route 155/ McDonough Road.

Drivers can expect to see single to double right lane closures in both directions Wednesday through Thursday between the off-peak evening hours.

Jonesboro Road between Mt. Carmel Road and Foster Drive will see a single right lane closure wednesday through Thursday between the off-peak evening hours.

Construction workers will be installing camera poles and restriping lanes, according to GDOT.
