The Henry County Development Authority and the Georgia Department of Economic Development announced Sept. 7 that De Wafelbakkers, a manufacturer of made-from-scratch breakfast products, will invest $15 million to expand its production facility in Henry County.
The expansion project will also create 83 jobs. This investment and job creation represents the first part of a planned two-phase expansion, according to officials. De Wafelbakkers, based in Arkansas, opened its Henry County facility in 2010.
Its products can be found at Walmart, Target, Publix, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Ingles, Kroger and other grocers across the country.
