The safety committe of the South DeKalb Improvement Association, a nonprofit with the mission of giving the residents of South DeKalb a voice and platform in addressing issues that affect them, is collaborating with DeKalb County Public Safety officials to host a community forum 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Achievement Center, 4522 Flat Shoals Pkwy.

The purpose of the event is to help keep the community safe during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Presenters include representatives from DeKalb County’s Police Services, Fire Rescue, 911 Emergency Communications Center, PAL (Police Athletic League), Solicitor-General’s Narcotics/Vice Special Victims Unit, Community Outreach units and others. The forum will include a Q&A session.
