Commissioners to be sworn into office

Dec 16, 2014Cobb Superior Court Judge Stephen Schuster will administer the oath of office for Bob Weatherford to the Cobb County Board of Commissioners 4 p.m. Wednesday at 100 Cherokee St., Marietta. The former Acworth alderman won the District 1 seat against Democrat Derrick Crump in November.
Helen Goreham, District 1 incumbent, is retiring.
Incumbent District 3 Commissioner JoAnn Birrell also will be sworn into office. Senior Judge Conley Ingram and Judge Lark Ingram will administer the oath of office.
