DeKalb County Commissioner Elaine Boyer will hold two town meetings in north DeKalb over the next week, to get citizen input on the 2012 budget.
The first meeting begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Montgomery Elementary School in Dunwoody. The second session begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at Tucker Middle School and also will feature County Commissioner Stan Watson.
Boyer, the commission’s lone Republican, wants input on what citizens view as essential services and where additional cuts could be made. She has repeatedly stated she wants to focus on public safety services, including police, fire and the courts.
