Decatur’s commission will vote on the 412-page consolidation of city ordinances called the Unified Development Ordinance, 7:30 p.m. Monday at the City Commission Meeting Room, 509 N. McDonough St. It will be preceded by a 6:30 work session.

Most of the UDO, which the city’s been working on for the past year, includes collating and rewriting existing land, storm water, tree and zoning ordinances written at different time periods, sometimes with contrasting language. But there are some changes including those aimed at making buildings more energy efficient and promoting affordable housing.
