The Columbus transit system is putting signs on buses telling the homeless how to get help.
The signs were donated by St. James AME Church of Columbus to the Metra transit system. Each sign calls attention to the homeless and directs bus riders to the Homeless Resource Network.
Liz Alcantara, director of the Homeless Resource Network which provides services to the homeless, said there is a need to get information to the homeless and buses are a good location to capture an audience.
Saundra Hunter, director of Metra, said the signs can be used to help people who don't have access to a computer to look for services.
