An "I am College Material" Scholarship Fair to help students and their parents find ways to pay for college has been scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3, from 4-8 p.m.  at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave SW.

The fair is aimed at low-wealth students with "average" grade point averages between 2.5 and 3.3, as well as middle-income students seeking merit-based aid.

Atlanta City Council member Aaron Watson and Atlanta Board of Education member Yolanda Johnson teamed up with The Scholarship Academy, a local nonprofit scholarship preparatory program, to sponsor the event.
