College Park authories remind utility customers not to respond to phone inquiries regarding utility payments, disconnection notices, etc. The city of College Park does not contact customers via phone to demand immediate payment via electronic bank cards or Western Union wire transfers.

Scam artists are constantly seeking to take advantage of unwilling citizens using the “Green Dot” or “Money Pack” demands for payment. Officials urge customers if contacted by a suspected scammer to hang up.

If the communication persists, customers should contact local law enforcement. College Park’s non-emergency phone number is 404-761-3131.
