The Phoenix Trail project was selected as a recipient of an honor award for the 2015 Engineering Excellence Awards. The selection process included projects from all across the state. Of the many projects submitted, five were chosen as finalists and will go on to compete at ACEC National, and 15 were selected to receive honor awards.
Design and engineering firm, Pond & Co., the company that built the trail, will be featured in the inaugural issue of Engineering Georgia Magazine. It will receive a special honor award during the Engineering Week gala.
College Park’s Phoenix Trail opened in May 2014, and is one of the top walking trails in the metropolitan district.
