The city of College Park has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada based on the city’s submission of its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the 2016 fiscal year.

An impartial panel of finance professionals judge the annual financial report, looking for qualities in the presentation such as a “spirit of full disclosure” in its assessment, according to the announcement. GFOA said the award is a significant achievement by the city, which has received other financial reporting awards.
