The College Park City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting and public hearing at 6 p.m. Aug. 17, at College Park City Hall, 3667 Main Street. The public hearing is for discussion of the proposed millage rate, approval of the recommended rate for advertisement for fiscal year 2015-2016 and an amendment to the zoning ordinance to address electric fences. Other agenda items include: a request for approval to purchase five replacement police vehicles for the patrol division; considering bids received for the construction of an LED sign in front of City Hall; four travel requests for city personnel to attend various conferences related to their jobs; and a contract with Construction 57 Inc. for the Georgia Department of Transportation — Transportation Enhancement (Main Street Scenic Byway Corridor Improvement) Project and authorization to expend $250,000 in TE funds with a $62,500 local cash match from College Park.
