The College Park Police Department will host a Citizens Police Academy beginning April 4 and continuing through mid-May, according to a press release. The 2.5-hour meetings will be held Wednesday evenings at the College Park Police Department.

Interested parties should contact Officer Daton Williams or Sergeant Nicholas Duffey with the College Park Police Department Training Division at 404-761-3131. Fifteen participants will be accepted.

Because the training will require access to secure areas of the facility, all academy participants will be required to pass a background check and sign a liability waiver.
